Community Service Opportunities
Summer Concert Series
Date: Wednesdays, July 7-August 11

Location: Emerson Park, Brookline
Ages: All ages
Family and friends can gather at Emerson Park every Wednesday
throughout the summer for an evening of good friends and great entertainment!
Bring a picnic basket, your lawn chair and a group of people eager to have a
good time and then sit back and enjoy a variety of music. Children can play on
the equipment within the park or dance along in front of the stage to the music.
Come volunteer at the Brookline QUEST table before each
concert. We will have treats and activities for the kids.
All concerts are held at the Emerson Park, located off of Davis
Avenue in Brookline Village. Show time begins promptly at 6:30 pm. In the case
of inclement weather, decisions on cancellations will be made by 3PM on the day
of the performance and will be updated online and on the Weather Line at

Health and Fitness Expo
Date: June 12

Ages: All ages, Family groups
Join Brookline QUEST as we attend the Chanel 7 Partners Health and Fitness Expo
Saturday June 12 at 10:00am the Hynes Convention Center. Admission is free. Meet
Wally and Sports Anchor Joe Amorosino and try your hand at being a sportscaster.
See how a model robot works and even try your hand at "operating" the robot as
well. Play a life size replica of Hasbro's Operation Game. Compete head to head
in one of the hottest interactive games out there, Dance Dance
RevolutionExperience “Wiihab” video game therapy that is virtually changing how
rehab is done. Experience the thrill of biking in a virtual environment. In
addition to exhibits, there will be air brush tattoos, demonstrations, and many
free samples and giveaways. Those who are interested can join us for lunch after
in the Prudential food court.
Christmas In July
Date: July 23-25
Location: Ashland, NH
Ages: All Ages
Join families and friends of Brookline QUEST at our annual Christmas in
July camping trip, July 23-25. This year we will be heading to Yogi Bear's
Jellystone Park™ Camp Resort in Ashland, New Hampshire.
Festivities include: Sled Riding, Snowball Fights, Ice Skate in 80 degree
weather, a Christmas Eve Party Friday night, and Join Santa on Saturday for our
annual party! Bring a gift ($5 limit) & get a gift from Santa!

including a Soccer Goal Challenge, Kickball game,

Greenfest
Date: August 21

Location: Government Center
Ages: All ages, Family groups
Join families and friends of Brookline QUEST on Saturday August 21 from
10:00-5:00 as we attend the Boston GreenFest 2010. The event will address
the problem of climate chaos through art, music, discussions and interactive
exhibits. The festivities will include "Project Recycle Runway", a walk
through the Time Tunnel, a variety of musical acts, fun with the "YoYo Show",
lots more entertainment, food, and fun activities for children.
This event is FREE to everyone and will take place at Boston City Hall Plaza.

Special Olympics
Softball
Dates: June 24-August 12
Times: 6:00p-7:30p
Location: Cypress Field at Brookline High School
Ages: 8 years through Adults
Join our SOMA Softball Team! Softball is an exciting team sport. Join us and
enjoy the friendship and teamwork that make Special Olympics so much fun for
everyone! We play slow-pitch Softball, which involves two teams of 10 athletes
each and also participate in individual skills competitions to allow athletes of
all abilities to train and compete with their friends.
